Version 2026-09-01. Last updated 9 September 2026. This is the version the app asks you to accept before your first publish.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use ParaLaff only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Only a ParaLaff built from a passage in our built-in library — public-domain works and US federal government documents — may be published to the feed. A passage you pasted or photographed cannot be published. This is enforced by the app and verified by our servers; it is not a matter of etiquette.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Do not publish content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, or that targets a person or group. Do not impersonate anyone. Do not use ParaLaff to bully, threaten, or harass.
Content that crosses that line is removed, and the accounts behind it are closed. We may do this without notice.
Every published ParaLaff can be reported, and every account can be blocked from within the app. We review reports and act on them, ordinarily within 24 hours. Blocking is mutual: neither party sees the other's published work.
You keep ownership of the words you write. By publishing a ParaLaff you give us permission to display it in the app and to show it to other users. You can delete a published ParaLaff at any time.
Because publishing is restricted to public-domain library passages, published ParaLaffs should not infringe anyone's copyright. If you believe something on ParaLaff infringes your rights, write to support@paralaff.app with enough detail to identify the work and the post, and we will investigate.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and remove any content it published.
When these terms change materially we will ask you to accept the new version before you publish again. The version you accepted, and when, is recorded.
